Felicitas Selter, PhD

Felicitas Selter ist seit Februar 2023 stellvertretende akademische Geschäftsführerin des Zentrums für Ethik und Philosophie in der Praxis an der LMU. Davor war sie wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Institut für Ethik, Geschichte und Philosophie der Medizin der Medizinischen Hochschule Hannover bzw. am Institut für Tierhygiene, Tierschutz und Nutztierethologie der Tiermedizinischen Hochschule Hannover. Während ihrer Promotion an der Graduate School of Systemic Neurosciences der LMU beschäftigte sie sich, ausgehend von Jeff McMahans Time-Relative-Interest Account, mit der Frage nach der Tötung (zukunftsgerichteter) Tiere. Ihre Forschungsinteressen gelten insbesondere der Tierethik, der Ethik am Lebensende (sowohl in der Medizin- als auch der Tiermedizinethik), der Philosophy of Animal Minds sowie One Health.
